You can hike in Turkey Mountain and take part in a wide range of activities at the magnificent Franklin Delano Roosevelt State Park.

The main shopping mall in Westchester County is the Jefferson Valley Mall, which has more than 90 stores on two floors, a cinema, and a 400-seat food court. The area outside of the mall has been developed to include additional retailers and restaurants.

Students from Jefferson Valley are fortunate to be enrolled in schools in the Lakeland School District. Students begin elementary school at Thomas Jefferson Elementary, progress to intermediate school at Lakeland Copper Beach Middle School, and graduate from Lakeland High School.
